Bringing healthy, hot lunches to children when they need it the most...at school!
Studies are showing that children are not always getting the proper nutrition during the day at school, our nutrition program brings a solution to this problem with minimal effort from parents and school staff or volunteers!

Everyone benefits from this program:

Students: get a healthy lunch d elivered to them at lunch break that they helped pick out.

Parents: freedom from shopping for & packing lunches and still having assurance that their child is eating a nutritious meal at school

Schools: pupils with higher concentration in the afternoon classes due to the well-balanced middle day meal, and 5% of sales going back to them as fundraising!

"Thursday, March 12th will be the last day available for ordering hot lunches for our daily individually packaged hot lunch program, and our fun day hot lunch programs. This is due to lack of enrolment in these new programs. All other catering programs will continue as usual for our child care centre & corporate catering programs."

Good nutrition is vital to a child's growth, development and well-being. Research studies tell us that students are able to concentrate better and learn more effectively when they are well-nourished. According to the Dietitians of Canada, roughly one-third of a child's daily food intake occurs during school hours. When children arrive at school hungry or are exposed to unhealthy food choices, they are less ready and able to learn and are at risk of developing chronic illnesses, such as heart disease and diabetes, later in life. Making sure your child is eating properly is really important. Good nutrition is critical to a child's: physical and emotional growth, health & ability to learn. Students do better and behave better in school when they eat properly. (source: Government of Ontario Website).

Only 50% of Canadian children and adolescents are getting a minimum number of servings per day of Vegetables and Fruit (excluding French fries). Only a quarter (25%) are meeting the new Canada’s Food Guide (2007) recommendations for Grain Products consumption.
